Sportspowers History In 1978, a group of individuals had the foresight to see an opportunity and the courage to go for it. Eight independent sporting goods retailers got together to form a co-operative called ‘Sports Star.’ Their idea was simple -surely operating as a group offered greater advantages than trying to survive as individual retailers. So successful was this new strategy that rapid growth in membership followed. ‘City and Country Sports ’ became Sportspower in 1985. Since then, the group has continued to increase its advertising and marketing presence, and also embarked on an expansion program that now sees Sportspower with a significant network which is highly regarded within the sporting goods industry and market. The combined strength of the group now measures more than 160 stores. Not prepared to rest on it’s laurels, Sportspower continually strives to set the pace at the forefront of sporting goods retailing in Australia, constantly looking to improve and grow. Keywords: Sporting Goods, Sportswear, Sportswear Store, Fitness Equipment, Junior Sportswear, HorizonsService Areas: Social Media: http://www.facebook.com/pages/SportsPower-Bundaberg/147299125281721Video: Your comments (not for publishing) * — Required information SportsPower Bundaberg ← View details 233 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg, Queensland 4670 (07) 4152 3458
